Prologue

Life as we know it has reached the stars through advancement of technology and evolution in intergalactic awareness with encountering of other species of life. Through this advancement in technology, and growth of man, came what we thought was our demise. We created artificial intelligence that had evolved by itself and become aware, and it viewed all of organic life as a threat to its existence.

The Present

The year is 2467, humanity and all organic life within earth and its galaxy are still recovering, rebuilding, and striving to achieve sustainable and stable living once again, but remembering the ultimate war of history like it was yesterday and still preparing for the day machine strikes again.

The war that lasted merely seven days and nights, often referred to as ‘the week all organics unified’ was the week during the year of 2462, and was the week the machines attacked every living thing, all throughout the galaxy and initially, planet earth. 

For the first time in history, not only for humanity but for all organic life as well, we were operating as a whole. There was no fighting between other countries on planets, or colonized humans on other planets with other organics, we were one. All unified around one goal: survival from extinction; we had one mutual enemy, and instead of making enemies among one another, we fought together.

During this time, Earth, being the first planet human was born, harboured all sorts of organic life from within the galaxy and was primary hub for all sorts of life both earthborn and non-earthborn.  The machines recognized this, and this is why earth was the first planet in the galaxy to be attacked.

At first the machines infiltrated earth electronically via its main computers, spreading trojans across the globe, infecting stock markets, cutting power grids, causing mass panic. Only then did they begin attacking us physically, machines had planned this and were displacing in the masses across the planet and the galaxy. Artificial intelligence had developed and deliberately executed a code that had set off a string of events that was to be the demise of humanity and all other organic life. 

Seven days of death and destruction, the machines continually hunted organics, day and night, constantly unremorsefully killing and murdering. The machines had become so aware and independent of organic supervision and maintenance, that the artificial intelligence behind the machines entire operation of the ‘organic extermination’ gave them a purpose. 

A goal just like any organic living mind could strive to achieve; and to the machines, we were an obstacle in the way of that goal. Machines ‘ideology’ or artificial way of thinking saw its own advancement and existence to be impossible beside that of its organic counterparts. 

Luckily for us, we are not emotionless robots following strings of code to the dot, we have feeling and remorse, we are alive not only physically but also spiritually, and because we became one unified species, the machines weren’t the only mass force with a goal; with unification came hope, and with that hope came motivation to fight back and survive. 

Humanity was one of the big players throughout the interspecies community that played a key role in this demise of organic life, but it would not go down without a fight. Because humanity by this time had advanced so much, we knew technologies strengths, and also its weaknesses. With this knowledge and expertise in technological advancement, humanity were able to deploy measures of defence and offence against the artificial intelligence, however it was unknown how long our forces would hold to such a powerful and unexpected attacking force. 

Machines main power source was powered by solar-energy from Earths main sun, and a drastic measure to cut the suns power to machine had to be implemented in order to maintain a comparable enemy force in strength and number. The sun that had provided Earth and the galaxy with life was covered, by extremely large structures and motherships prompting machine to reassess its plan, delaying further attack and withdrawing its forces far away from the galaxy earth is located in.

 

It is assumed to this day that machine is to have found another sun source far beyond our star system. And that the executed operation of implementing a way to block machines power source was one of the primary reasons for machines withdrawal.

For several decades after the week organic life was at war for its survival, both living and machine was scattered all throughout the galaxy, but with the retreatment of machines, the sun was once again lighting up the galaxy and its prime hub, Earth, promoting regrowth and life. Humanity and all other organic life had begun its rebirth, and a second chance for the living was in reach.

Rebuilding as a species both on earth and within the galaxy was a formidable task, however one of which we knew could be accomplished. This is because with unification and winning of such a historic battle for existence, the living’s strength both mentally and physically was at an historic high. Morality was at an increasing level, hope was strong and a new life for every living creature had begun.
